Difference Between PE Tarpaulin and PVC Tarpaulin

With the continuous development of people's consumption awareness and
market economy, tarpaulin production technology has become more mature,
and the demand for tarpaulin market has been rising in recent years. At
present, there are many types of tarpaulins on the market, and there are
different thicknesses to choose from. Why do we prefer to choose PVC
tarpaulin? Let's understand the difference between them below.
Tarpaulins
are mainly used in storage, transportation, outdoor activities, and
covering. Tarpaulin can be divided into PE tarpaulin and PVC tarpaulin
according to the material.
PE tarpaulin refers to plastic woven
tarpaulin, generally made of plastic cloth, which is a kind of
thermoplastic resin made by polymerization of ethylene. It has a wide
range of uses, covering pastures, construction sites, chemicals, etc.
Light weight, clean and pollution-free. The disadvantage is that it has
poor lightfastness and is generally one-time. The quality will
deteriorate after use. Rain and sun exposure will quickly cause aging
and discoloration.
The PVC tarpaulin is a polyester base fabric
coated with PVC resin slurry on both sides, using the dipping process,
and forming at one time. Its structure is stable, and the finished
products are of high quality. It has the properties of waterproof,
mildew, cold resistance, aging resistance, anti-static, etc.; and can
produce products with different functions, different colors, and
different thicknesses according to user needs. PVC tarpaulin is more
widely used, such as truck waterproofing, oil field seepage prevention,
factory raw material exposure, breeding ponds, etc.
PVC tarpaulin
can be treated with low temperature resistance and flame retardant
according to the natural environment of different regions. Compared with
PE tarpaulin, PVC tarpaulin has stronger various properties and is more
suitable for anti-aging, waterproof and rainproof, and durability.
Therefore, PVC tarpaulins are more widely used nowadays.
